We fly into San Francisco on the 13th of August then 4-5 days there with my son and his family, then to Seattle for a legal issue and depositions. From there we drive to Spokane and Couer d'Alene and Flat head lake in Montana for 2 weeks then back to Spokane for 2 weeks.
Well, Ken & Pattie. Seems like out trails keep crossing. Happy to hear that you are into Mac. Will be in Boquete in about 3 weeks, bringing my MacBook Pro. Hope to see you there and get some advice from "pros" to a newbie about Panama and what to expect. Sorry I didn't see you in Oregon.

Oh I forgot to mention, there is a couple in the Seattle area that are going to Boquete in December. They would like to get in touch with people down there. If you are so inclined, you can contact them . It is Ruth Densley RDensley@bellvuewa.gov
Till next time, Blessings, Marge
Hi. we are currently living in Deer Park, Wa. It is just north of Spokane and fairly close to the Idaho border, 75 miles south of the Canadian border. It has been really cold here, but should be up to 70 by the weekend. My husband is retired military and medically retired from the VA hospital, where he worked as an addiction counselor. I am a recently retired (after 30 years) ER nurse. We married in July 2006. Two months later, he was diagnosed with a blood cancer, Multiple Myeloma, from Agent Orange exposure. He had 6 weeks of radiation for a hole in his sternum, followed in 2007 by 1 year of chemo and in 2008 had a stem cell transplant. He has been in complete remission since June of 2007. It was his idea to look at Panama for possible retirement, so we made MY first trip in 2011. He lived in Panama as a kid, when his dad was stationed there, and was stationed there while he was in the Army, at the Gorgas Hospital. He loves Panama, but was sort of disappointed in how much it had changed. We spent our time on the Azuero near Pedasi. Loved the beaches. He went back in June of 2012, to check out places to live in the area, but discovered that #1 June was way too humid, #2 few people were still there, #3 the houses he looked at were, in his words, dumps. So, the end of November we went back and spent two weeks in Boquete. Absolutely fell in love with the area. We saw quite a bit of the area around Boquete and David, all the way to the Costa Rican border. We wanted to see Puerto Armulles, but got lost and never found it. I had a chance to experience the medical care in Boquete, as I got bitten by mosquitos or coffee flies, and developed blisters on my legs and one arm, and developed a skin infection in that arm. I was impressed with the Doctor that our friend, Luis Perez recommended and the low cost of the visit and the meds. would move to Boquete in a heart beat, but it seems my husband wants to take it slow. I am not sure if it is just the overwhelming parts of moving or the fear that his cancer might come back. At any rate, we still discuss it and think about the move a lot. He is a wood carver, very talented, and I told him about reading about the wood workers group that just started. I also found out there is a car club in David. ( he is also into fixing up hot rods). We will see what happens. In the meanwhile, I really want to keep in touch with those of you who actually live in Panama. So, please do keep in touch, and thanks for friending me. We are also on Facebook, and our email address is Jeepepley@msn.com Marge

ken,
Sorry, been occupied with other stuff...would like to look at it Sunday, will call you.
Hi Ken and Pattie,
Your description of the plant and its malady doesn't sound familiar. If you could post a photo here, or send it to me at gardens@volcanbaru.com, we'll go from there. Cheers, Carla
Thank you so much, both of you for all your hard work and help with this show. Even if it was just for "the families and parents of the students," ha ha! As of now, I have a list. It's a short list, thus far, but it has 2 names of people not allowed past my gates. I will not play into pity parties for les miserables.
Next up.. Medieval/Ren Faire. After that, Wild West show, with probably a Show-Jumping in between. It's getting fun! Oh yes, we have one new student as of today. Conner's little brother, Barrett. More kids! Thanks once again. You guys are great and kept the show going!!
Hi Ken and Pattie, yes gave them to two different people at Tuesday meeting. My wife and I are looking forward to retiring here next year. Hope to meet you soon.
Have a great day!!
Hiya Ken.
I'll be there last week of October, exact date is still to be determined. Probably the 26th or 27th. Do you make it to the TMM on Tuesday's. If you do, I'll be at the first one after I arrive.
