Eco logical architect and home design consultant offering green building ideas, alternative energy homes, B& B, creative remodels and eco development sustainable advice and quality blueprints in Spanish. I am working with local Panamanian engineers and architects from David. I generally try to build with Teak, Eucalyptus, Pine and localized material and labor.
Living in rainforest's of Southern Costa Rica, I work diligently towards a carbon negative footprint in my architectural designs. After studying nature my entire life, I have come to the the conclusion that we must reduce our footprint by copying nature's design. From bug nests to bird nests, nature always has the best advice for living comfortable and secure.
In lowland Central Tropical America, keeping cool and out of the way of the rain and bugs is important. Elevating your home above cool surfaces, live on pole house, treehouse or cantilever off the edge of steep hill. Earthquake proof foundations, blueprints for permits and consultation with clients about house plans and custom home floor plans. I find myself always looking towards nature when it comes to designing living spaces for new custom homes.
Depending on your altitude and site location, capturing breeze and views will always be a priority. Security has also moved up as a priority in Latin America and it's important to include future for security decorative metal.
Living in the tropical equatorial range of Central America, staying cool and out of the harsh rainy season weather is always #1 priority when designing custom homes for people living here in Costa Rica or Panama. I consult with folks all over the world but mostly my work is focused here in Costa Rica, where my studio and life as an artist began in 2000. I have worked on many completed projects and provided finished blueprints in English and Spanish for folks requiring building permits with their local municipality. All the photos you see on my website are projects I've designed and built.
If you already own property, Spend some time on during the sunrise & sunset or during a stormy time. The more you know about your property. The easier it is to consult with you on line.
My architectural advice in Costa Rica is based on natures philosophies and the movement of air through your building site. Capturing morning breezes, and staying dry when it's pouring rain.
Most of my clients have found my views of great value during the design process. C2 philosophy = Comprehend and Copy Nature in design. Looking to nature for solutions to complex questions. How to go green ? How to build sustainably ?
