Thank you, Joseph, for your information. Actually the price to me for a keyboard was $200.
The $100 was only to order the part, and I would have owed another hundred if he had fixed the computer. He picked up the computer from my house several days before I was called to come pay to order. I paid on November 19th. I heard nothing for weeks and after I called on about Jan. 7, there was no call back, so I emailed either later that day or the next day. I got no response. On Saturday, Jan 11, I called and asked about the computer. Then Juan brought it to the parking lot of SF Plaza and told me that there was a short that they did not detect and after working on it for 16 hours, it died.
I understand now that he is telling other people other things that he never told me.
I have sent to computer to Panama City to be analyzed by an expert to see what
happened and if it was preventable or not. I just know that I gave him the computer
and he says it worked for 16 hours. I am no expert, but he is supposed to be one, isn´t he?
I do not even expect him to do anything. I just know that he was strangely uncommunicative and my computer is ruined. But in Panama, there is usually
no responsibility for bad service or product.
If people want to take their computers to him, then that is great. But now they know
their risk.
Sadly, I suspect that other computer experts are no different. That is why I keep
at least two laptops at all times so that I can have a backup.
Juan is very expensive and I suppose I thought that might signify quality.
What do you think?

Hi Joe, I like both unfortunatly I will be heading back to states next week. I will be returning to Panama in January and staying for several months. Hopefully by then the house will be done. never know with the panama time (slow) to do things.
Yes as far as fishing goes i like both fresh water and salt. I have no gear at present and will be looking to buy some. I have seen no fish and tackle shops however, so might back my suitcase next time with nothing but fishing gear.
Hell if i could i would open a shop specifically for fishing gear but money talks lol.
Thanks for writing sorry it took me so long to reply as I have been very busy getting this house built and still not where I want to but need to go back and take care of some other business so will return like I said in January. Hopefully my esposa will join me as this time she could not.
Why thank you Joseph for letting me in on the low cost of chicken livers.
I suppose if one is going to live in Boquete as a retiree, then one must resort to eating chicken livers for dinner. At 25 cents a pound, I may just have to cook them up for dinenr every night.
David is not such an easy drive for my husband and I, we are both in our 60's, and it would be nice for an old gal like myself to be able to shop locally.
The cost of living, one must admit, is rising, rising, and still rising in the quaint town of Boquete.
Thanks again Joseph for the tips on eating as well as your hawk does.
