Fitting & Showing is a showmanship class. It's showing off your horse, your pizazz and your knowledge as a handler. Fitting & Showing is judged on presentation of horse and handler, "Quartering System" (kids must have their horses stand under themselves square, and move from near side to far side (left and right sides) so as to never block the Judge's view of their animal.Fitting & Showing is hard. It takes lots of time, work and concentration to nail it. Depending on the participant's expertise, the Judge can really put them through their paces by not crossing over designated areas of pivotal points, going back and forth, looking for anticipation and hesitation on handler's part.Right now..... we're in the pony handling stage. From there we will work our way up to pizazz and eventually wine glasses in hand.Pony steps...The 4-H'ers did really well, and we were very proud of all of them!(From left) Bella and Gypsy, Hannah and Skippy, Dakota and CC, May and the Bug, Kai and Orion. Not pictured, Pistolero and Hannah.
