For Pony Club today we trained the new boy to English. It went really well. The kids are pressuring me to keep him, but I told them the only way we'd be able to keep the rescues is by having sponsors. We already have 10 horses. We have no problem in buying, saving and promptly placing in good homes, but it costs a bit (after a certain amount of horses) to properly care for, maintain (health) and feed horses. This red boy is really loved by all the students and he is fitting right in.

  • I am getting a lot of pressure to keep him. I told the students there is some point where we must draw the line in financing these little rescue cases permanently... so sad, I know. So now they are trying to get donations to keep him here as their own rescue Pony Club mount. (shaking head) I am in biiig trouble. We're going to end up with 40. Ha ha. He's a really good horse. Bella (been here the longest) has named him, "Chili" and all love him. Many more photos to come. I suppose, if anyone is interested in sponsoring these little rescues, I'll keep them. I haven't the foggiest on how this works, but I am sure it involves Paypal and I'd have to make up a rescue page. I'll look in to it. I know it gives the community great joy in seeing poor tortured souls learn to once again trust humans and work so well with their little riders, once rehabbed. Perhaps this is my calling.
