I am renting a newly remodeled 3 bedroom, three bath house in Volcancito just off of the Volcancito Road near Casa Colonial. It is .6 kilometers (600 meters) from the main road to Boquete. Quiet, secure location. Looking for a compatible, non smoking single person to share the house. I travel a lot outside of Panama, so much of the time the house would be all for the renter. Available 15 March, short or long term. Rent depends on length of commitment...$350 to 425 including electric, water, garbage pick up and internet.

Greetings, I am hoping to come to boquete in early april to explore settling there. I am first coming to take a good look around and meet people, and then if things seem right for me, would come back to the US, put things in storage and come back.
I prefer a houseshare for the company and for the financial aspects, getting so much more house. Can you tell me more about the location-- near bus or inexpensive taxi to town center--- as I won't have a car. And should I want to share long term, coud I bring my cat? Judith

This house is one minute walk to Vocancito Road where taxis are available or walk another 10 minutes at most to the main road into Boquete (where the Boquete Tourism office is located) for 50 cent taxi rides to downtown (a few minutes by taxi). Or walk from house to downtown in 25-30 minutes. cat is no problem. The bedroom which I wish to offer also has a private entrance should one wish to use it...and a private bathroom.
Robert: thanks for answering this. I am moving forward w. plans to come down in april to see what's what. I do have somewhere to stay with another person who may be interested ins haring, or perhaps if you haven't yet found a housemate, I could also stay a while with you as a "trial run" and would be willing to pay for same.le
By the way: when you say "where taxis are available", does that mean that they routinely hand out there, like the tourism office, or do they need to be phoned?
Do you have a private email we could use for correspondance since this is more between us?

I have a vehicle, so not sure about calling taxis, but they are constantly running back and forth from town . my email is rlbinpa at gmail dot com. One point I need to make is that I am leaving on a 5 week trip on 1 April, so that my preclude any possibilities...
