How are you involved in Boquete?
I want to live in Boquete
What Attracts you to Boquete?
I first need to find an affordable house ($500 per month) or apartment or a house share. I am an avid reader and also write professionally so would enjoy reading/writing groups. Cant wait to hike and do photography and other outdoor activities. Know some spanish but need to study and practice. Want to meet others who are open to new friendships and adventures. PS. I can't seem to upload a photo from my computer-- selected browse, went to photos, went to picture, pressed "open" and nothing happened. any advice?

Hi Judith I'm curently in Ca. (live in Boquete) was just in Paso Robles and impressed by it. Would be interested in your take on the area, since I'm thinking of moving to Ca, Would appreciate an email at coloramon62@yahoo.com (or on ning) Thanks,
Ramon
I'm in Pasadena and would love to sit down with you for lunch or something and discuss your recent trip to Boquete, but Arroyo Grande is quite far for that. If you plan to be somewhere around half way (e.g. Santa Barbara) any time in the future, let me know and maybe we can meet here in CA.
Judith,
I have a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath in Jaramillo Arriba. If you still need a place you can call at 6675-9847 for more details and pics.
Sounds like we have an active and growing group of nature lovers and conservation oriented Boquete-area expats. Everything that is happening as I prepare for my move seems to reinforce my attraction to the place.
I very much look forward to meeting you and the others in the highlands of Chiriqui who share a love of nature and the outdoors.

My email is cswanton2003@yahoo.com if you want to talk about shared housing for part of 2012. It seems most of the rentals are equipped with several bedrooms, and at a price that makes them more affordable than a one bedroom. I will be there the first of Dec. and will be staying at a hostel for one week tops, I hope! It would be nice to have someone else for security reasons as well. When do you think you wil be there? I have heard it is fairly easy to bring pets with you.
I'm sorry to have thrown past events in the mix! I was just so surprised at the coincidence!
I am coming to Boquete from Dec. 1 - May 29, 2012 to see if I would like to retire there.
I am a retired art teacher who since the birth of my only child has had a hobby of writing non fiction. I am coming to Boquete for an organic life style and to live better on my fixed income. I would be interested in shared housing with a similarly minded person. I am straight only, but unatttached presently. I would like a place that allows a dog, but am flexible about most anything. I am liberal minded and am working with the diverse Boquete community already. I'm sure I will see you at the Tues AM meetings.
Hi Judith,
I read your bio after I had posted a comment to you regarding short-term rentals.
If we do emigrate, here's something about us. Sue, my wife, was raised in Flushing, New York and graduated from Syracuse, New York in Art history. Has an M.A in Special Ed from U. of Missouri when she lived in Kansas City. Was an art teacher at the sevondary level in Ontario Canada.
I am of first generation eastern European parents, a C.A. (CPA stteside).
Sue plays several instruments: cello, flute, fiddle, piano et al. We do not perform as we prefer to back up others in folk, blue-grass etc. I play a one-string wash basin base in order to be able to participate. I also am an amatuer actor, done stand up and writer but haven't writ much the past few years.
I'm certain that if Sue's condition permits her to emigrate, we will find kindred spirits in Boquete.,
Hi Judith,
We chose your name because it was first in the Members list and we became frustrated in trying to post an advert for short-term rental accomodations.
We are Canadian seniors, Jewish--my wife, American and me 100% Canuck-- and plan on visiting Boqute in April 2012 for three to four weeks in order to determine whether to emigrate.
We are looking for a self-contained rental unit wherein we could prepare our own meals as we prefer organics of which I read that there is an abundance. Here's our problem and possibly a biggee. My wife has multiple-chemical sensitivity hence allergic to scents: detergents, pesticides et al. As a result, we require an odour-free environment. We would bring our own bedding: pillow cases, top and bottom sheets and our own laundry detergent.
Are we asking too much of Boquete?
