9 hours in saddle, little breaks and all ears, eyes and focus at mission at hand. Great job, Judge for our kid's 4-H Show and 4-H'er. They rallied on very little to no notice and were troopers the entire day. Horses Skippy, Pistolero and especially Cotton Candy were of heroic proportions- CC being put in spots that normally I would never ask a horse to go, for fear of broken leg or worse. This was not a fun day, but I couldn't be more proud of the amazing team of horses and wonderful, giving friends, who helped in such a worth while, selfless act.Yes, ponies got big hugs and coos for being little ninja all terrain quadrupeds.

  • She is a real little trooper and I am so proud of her. Apart from horses, Kai is a model. She brings us beauty and tenacity to the stables. I knew it was going to be a long day that particular morning, when we set off. I told her pack food, plenty of water and be ready to ride all day. That she did. Thank you. I love training these types- so willing, listen and are a pleasure to have here with us. Riding horses is all about fun- not this day. I couldn't have asked for a better team, throw together in a matter of hours. Our Judge for the horse show, Cate is a fellow horsewoman, and we were just lucky she happened to he here. She strained her ankle, hand walking Pistolero over a cattle field, because it was pretty sketchy riding over it. Again... a trooper. All day with hurt ankle.
