Yeah, Keith Richards has been "the most eligible to die young" for the last 50 years!
My friends in New Orleans had interesting stories about Stephen Stills while he was living there - none of them were flattering. He's had an interesting career to say the least.
Can you imagine Panama, Chiriquí and even Boquete in the 60's?? It was very little, more basic, more rural but more innocent and naïve.
I knew so many zonians in my teens. At that time they looked Panama with other point of view. Looked Panamanians as second class citizens. Criticized and bashed about Panama and its people. A couple of years ago I read a blog of those zonians, now living in the US, that are full of old memories of Panama. Missing the old Mango Tree. Missing the weekends at San Carlos. Missing the old black lady that did delicious "empanadas". Remembering the good time at Las Tablas carnivals.... and so on.
They great thing Panama did for the zonians was to forget all what they did when they lived here. The way they treated Panamanians. For us they are Panamenos. They were born in Panama. So they could have cedulas, drivers license and Panamanian passport and have the same rights of any other Panamanians. They could return "Home" any time they want to.
Stephen Stills attended High School in the Panama Canal Zone and apparently fell in love with a Chiricana at the age of 15, the theme of this song.
Have you seen Panama Where I first fell in love It will forever be
An emerald necklace Set between the seas
Beside a crystal stream In the mountains of Chiriqui I saw a girl astride a horse She waved at me I was fifteen
I was not a child I was not yet a man I was trying very hard To understand Indifferent to the dangers of Living in a foreign land Was I falling in love or Under the spell Of Panama?
Went riding off alone Much further than I should have gone I wandered deep into the dark Now which way gets me home
Then suddenly there she was All covered with leaves and dust I couldn't believe It but she followed me Now both of us were lost
I was not a child I was not yet a man I was trying very hard To understand Indifferent to the dangers of Living in a foreign land Was I falling in love or Under the spell Of Panama?
The clouds began to rumble We found a dry piece of jungle I don't remember If It rained But I remember making love
So clearly I recall The magic of Panama And surely never will it let me go Yo Soy Panameno
I was not a child I was not yet a man I was trying very hard To understand Indifferent to the dangers of Living in a foreign land Was I falling in love or Under the spell Of Panama?

A question: is Keith Richards a man with wrinkles or wrinkles with a man.?
Yeah, Keith Richards has been "the most eligible to die young" for the last 50 years!

Not sure how much looking haggard has to do with being healthy anymore
Looking a little rough, eh?
never knew that. Thank you for the insight.
Correcto.

I guessed Stills too.
Incorrecto!
