Announcing the New Upgraded Ning

Hello all, Oscar and I are pleased to announce that over the last 4 months we have been working with the programmers at Ning, to give Boquete Ning a major Upgrade.

This upgrade is scheduled to happen sometime tomorrow, Monday, November 25th

Here are the 4 major changes

1. A More Secure site, with a SSL Certificate.  In today's internet, security is more and more important.  Ning web address will be https://boquete.ning.com/

2. Faster - The new platform will be on new dedicated servers.

3. Mobile Friendly.  I am sure this will be big for many.  Ning will finally be fully available on mobile including picture and video taking and auto uploading to the site, which is great for people who use classifieds.

4. New Features.  We will start with Guest Blogging.  If you just like to write, or if you want to promote you business, you will be able to Blog about it on Ning, and put to use the 8,000 + Ning members, and its 150,000 + page views a month.

An upgrade generally equates to a higher level of user friendly, after a few uses of this site I cannot find that to be the case. Most new rollouts from interactive sights are turned over to select Beta testers for a short period of time to help work out the bugs, don't know if that happened here. Does not seem right to have to sign in if I want to do more than just browse headlines, like maybe read the whole add for a rental. Hope you are open to suggestions and keep working on it.

The biggest improvements you will see on mobile where our traffic in increasing. The log in to view is a session problem we are working one. You will not have to log in unless you want to post or comment

The new Ning layout is another example of minimalist "no-design" where structure and cohesion are sacrificed for airy artwork and floating images. Typeface is dreadful. Front page masthead is simplest nothing. Whole site is horrible.

I can not find a search option in the Forum tab, is it available?

The search is at the upper right of your screen

Well the serach at the upper right of the scrren does not provide any results for the Forum, I tried few words.
The search for the forum is one of the most important thing that allowed to use data from prior posts.
