Can honestly say I haven't met anyone who isn't loving the food at Frank's. I had the meatball sandwich again today and it was awesome. Comes with a small salad, and a dish of sauteed onions and peppers. Friends had ribs that came with big, beautiful salads and fresh rolls baked on the premises. 'Best Condiments Award'. In a town where it's hard to get much on the table except ketchup, mayo and salsa picante, it's a treat to sit down and find fresh ground parmesan, red hot chili flakes, and sea salt and black pepper in grinder mills to provide seasoning to taste. Two thumbs up, again.

~*~ LIKE ~*~ i agree...food is great, service with a smile. one of our fave places to eat.
The best pizza I have ever eaten is the one we make at home. It is healthy, delicious, is made from scratch in 30 minutes (including cooking time), and costs about as much as the petrol required to drive to a restaurant.
Yes, the meatball sandwiches are awesome, for sure! Had them twice, eat-in and take-out (and turned some left over meatballs into the best spaghetti sauce we ever had!).
It is disappointing though, that they will not accept a phone-in take out order (like La Posada for example - phone in your order then pick it up in 1/2 hour or so....and I'm sure some other restaurants do it as well).
Had to make the drive there, THEN order in person, THEN wait the 1/2 hour (when they knew an hour earlier that we wanted 4 take-out sandwiches). I wouldn't do that again if it meant we would drive back in the dark.
Ah, yes, another shill for American style fried hormone-boosted factory-bred chicken that you can get with that greasy sauce they call gravy.
But unfortunately, the thought of such disgusting food makes me yearn for a delicious pizza at One-Eyed Franks - where I'll experience an excellent and unique blend of flavor and texture in a unique setting.
O.K., Frank, where's my paycheck!

David, I am disappointed in you. Normally we have minimum of 1000 words. You are the great essayist of Boquete.
Actually, Lee, I've been "essaying" at the Weather Underground Climate Change blog [LINK] recently, giving the folks here a break from my voluminous posts. I'll be studying the projected effects of anthropogenic global warming on Panama and the tropical rainforest belt over the next few months, and will work with Lloyd Cripes to try to decipher what we can expect in Panama over the next couple of decades.
If anyone is interested, my handle at that blog is "Xulonn" and my avatar is a spectacular sunset over the southern flank of Volcan Baru.
