I know a lot of you up in Boquete hate coming down "on the flat," and I'll admit if I was there I'd be a bit hesitant to make the trek to Gringos on the way to Bugaba or the border for lunch, too, in spite of the fact they serve excellent Tex-Mex (Pana-Mex?) meals. Their baked chili rellenos are hard to beat.
BUT I know there are quite a few of you up there in the clouds that make border runs from time to time. Do your taste buds a favor and stop in and see Gary and savor a good meal on your way back. Hey, you're going to need a margarita or two after the border paperwork.
By the way, Gary's a new dad of a son less than a month old, he told me when I stopped in on Wednesday.

Yes I am. :)
I grew up in California, my aunt married a Mex-Am or whatever the PC bullshit clowns dictate to designate. Spent years in Mexico.
I know good Mex food and not the crap they peddle here.
I'll give it a try though.
on our list!
We love Gringo's...but as you said, we don't get down off the mountain that often, and it's a real trek to drive that far out of David. Really wish he had located closer...perhaps half way between David and Boquete? That would be win-win!
