E-tax is a platform created by The Ministry of Economy and Finances of Panama, through the General Direction of Taxes, (Dirección General de Ingresos, DGI)
The purpose of this tecnologic platform is to make more accesible the information to all tax payers and to pay your taxes online.
To enter the platform you need to follow the next steps:
1- Go to this link: https://etax2.mef.gob.pa/etax2web/Login.aspx
2- You must have your RUC number and the your NIT number.
RUC and NIT number are generally provided for your attorney when the inscription of the corporation, foundation or property in the DGI.
3- Log in and you will be able to see in the section " cuenta corriente" your current statement, how much you have to paid for the fiscal period and also you will be able to pay online your taxes.
Also the platform allow you to present your income declaration tax every year, to obtain good standing certificatates, many other tools that will make your process of managaning your taxes easier and you will be inform of the real situation on your taxes.
Remenber, every coorporation in Panama has to present yearly, a income declaration tax, even if you has no operations. You will need the assitence of a accounted. If you don't present this declaration there is a annually fine of 100.00 usd. that accumulate over the years.
