If you are buying or selling property in the Boquete, Volcan, David, Potrerillos, or Boca Chica area, there is a realtor to avoid. She sold us property in 2004 and when we attempted to access it in 2009, found out the serve-dumbre (right of way), had not been secured and a neighbor had titled it. The realtor said she would fix this problem and spent 1 1/2 years accomplishing absolutely nothing. At the end of this time, she informed us that since there was no money in this work, for her, she was not going to help any more, and she hasn't. We hired an atty 13 months ago, to get resolution thru the courts. Altho the established protocol requires such cases be scheduled within a month of being filed, ours has sat on a judge's desk for 7 months with no action.
This woman has created a small hell for us and I suggest it would be in your best interests not to use her as your realtor. You can contact me at lapalmarosa@gmail.com, if you need to know the name.

Thank you for the warning. Unfortunately, this forum has very little information on this kind of thing which should be its primary raison d'être but isn't.
Bob there is a reason. It is dangerous to publicly expose a business in Panama.
So the criminals continue to exploit innocent victims with impunity and corrupt legal protection?? So where does one go to get this information?
The person who started this thread included an email to contact her. Beyond that I recommend talking to people who have been here for some time and asking them who they would avoid.
I tried that. I sent a message to you a week or so ago offering you lunch or dinner and drinks next time I was in Boquete in exchange for some quick advice as to whom to avoid and who to use in the way of realtors and builders etc and you didn't even respond. I did send an email to Jane and she was kind enough to respond with the name of the realtor to avoid.
