Recently moved to Boquete (1) month now and loving it....Looking into getting Medical Insurance here in Panama....is there a company that will do medical Ins. without permanent residency as we are looking into that also...Any suggestions....

    Robin, think long and hard BEFORE you drop that plan. I have it here in Panama and it pays about 100%...It is your call....

    Robin,

    There are several companies that offer insurance here in Panama. I am happy with my policy from Hospital Chiriqui as it covers most things except hardware items like stints and prosthetic devices. None of the companies offer any kind of pharmacy coverage that I am aware of. I think I am paying $ 74.00 per month (I pay annually, and I have not done the math)

    There is also a Bluecross type of international policy that is available from several of the insurance people in Boquete.
