Night #1, Jim and I are up very late. We hope to get a picture of the full moon at it's closest point to the earth. 2 Policia show up in a "paddy wagon". I invite them in for coffee hand them coffee in ceramic cups (I have not plastic) and explain that we are trying to photograph. Camera is out and tripod is obvious.
Night #2 - Three men show up in the "paddy wagon". Two are uniformed and one is not. I invite them in and serve coffee. They sit on the couches, drink their coffee, hand the cups back to me and leave.
Do I have the two ceramic cups back? No. Have I seen them since the second night? NO.
WTF? Is this normal?

Isn´t that why they´re called Coppers?
LOL...good one.
Now, that's cute and snarkless. "My cup runneth over" with approbation.
by Fran Hogan on Wednesday Three men on Night #2... and you only have two cups? What did you serve the coffee in for the third man? And if, like you said, they "hand the cups back to me and leave" , are you asking us to guess where you put them?
Fran,
In case you are wondering why some people do not share on Ning.
Guess everyone does not possess your "communicative skills"
Susan and Pat,
If you are still intrigued by "snarky", this is pretty close.
You shouldnt be afraid of police. You should be afraid of strange people you dont know getting into your house.
johnny carson & "joe friday" clapper skit
Cynthia,
One Saturday afternoon we were watching television and the front door opened up and in came 3 heavily armed police.
No knock, no nothing...they just rushed on in. Excuse me for not having my front door locked....after a brief conversation and a little excitement, I found out that they wanted to stand on my back porch and look down the valley for a better view. Seems someone had escaped them and ran down my valley. They did mention that they did not have to ask permission to enter my residence if they were on official duty.....shocked the hell out of me. They borrowed my binoculars but lucky me...they returned them and went on their merry way.
I found the last paragraph strange. If they Police tell you that, they are wrong. No Police officer can enter your house without your consent or permission.
"No Police officer can enter your house without your consent or permission."
There have been reports to the contrary. For example, Telemetro's report in 2011:
If you read carefully the news and the post here you could easily find that there are huge differences.
I guess you dont know who is DJ BLACK otherwise you wouldnt post this news. This guy have had several problems with the authorities before. People in Panama says he was awarded that position just because he wrote and sung the campaign jingle for Martinelli's presidential campaign.
According to the law Police couldnt and shouldnt break in your house without any judicial order... unless there is evidence of a crime is being commited and they could spot in the act. If they do that is another thing but according to the law is prohibited.
