In the past I wrote restaurant reviews in Boquete Guide based upon one visit, I was wrong to do so and I stopped. Even the best restaurant has bad days and occasional bad service. I now only right a review after three or more visits. I also have learned that if I have nothing good to say, to say nothing at all. I have my opinions and they are mine if they are positive I share them, negative and I am mute.

Loro-tta, Your three year old experience is irrelevant and adds nothing worthwhile to this discussion. Amigos has since changed owners and locations, but then again, you don't live anywhere near Boquete, so how would you know that? Why don't you concentrate on making the beds and fetching breakfast at your own facility instead of trying to trash somewhere that you've never even been to.
Some of the local restaurants are really good...but after a few years you get sick of just eating pollo, arroz, carne, puerco y plantanos...always, everywhere, prepared exactly the same. Make no mistake--I LIKE typica. Just not everyday. A great Mexcian (authentic) plate of mole or enchiladas or tamales...hmmmm.

Remember it is Boquete, a former small farmer town, not Panama City where you can find diverse type of food of your preference.
Since you're "relatively new here"...chill out or you're going to go nuts!
In any case, try the Crepe place (near Zanzibar) for French cuisine and you're on your own for authentic Mexican food. They serve PanaMex here. (Kind of like TexMex, only different...really different.)
Or, open your own French/Mexican restaurant. There's plenty of room for one more fine dining establishment.
As for bad dining experiences, try giving any of them at least two chances. If everyone here stopped supporting the local eateries because of one bad experience, I don't think there would be any restaurants in Boquete. There is not one restaurant here that hasn't had at least one off day for at least one client.
That being said, the clientele will ultimately decide...
The good restaurants thrive and the bad restaurants drop like flies here in Boquete.
And finally, my pet peeve: It's difficult to take too seriously someone who uses an anonymous name and generic avatar...Regardless of the subject.

Hi Crazy Cajun,
No problem...most of my friends call me "Smart Ass". I haven't really figured that out yet???
Welcome to Panama!
Jim
Hi Juan,
I can't disagree with you.
Isn't "Personal choice" is a wonderful thing!
Olga's is there, second driveway behind the Dollar Store and sits back off the road.
Also, don't look for an "Olga's" sign out front.
