I wanted to take advantage to introduce a good inexpensive alternative to the water problems we are facing here in Boquete
On March 17, 2014 there was a public complain in the news and other mediums of comunication about the quality of water most residents face in Boquete.

Basically this interview is talking about a water testing that have been done in four different places in Boquete. A lady resident in Santa Lucia, explained that there has not been good planning with the population growth that has occurred in recent years, and that the authorities were NOT prepared with an efficient water distribution. As a consequence of getting this untreated water, there is a loft of bacteria and other substances it the water we drink from the tap.
While we may feel powerless in these unacceptable situations I would like to introduce a good alternative for those seeking to obtain inexpensive drinking water right from your own kitchen.
A Hi Technology Water System
This Water Technology combines multiple-stage filtration with pi minerals and a magnetic field. The arrangement of these systems varies according to the requirements of the individual product. However, all products with this technology produce the same result, high technology filtered and mineralized water.

I think that it is time to make some noise and let the authorities know that you are not satisfied with the water quality service. Organize yourself as residents of Boquete with rights and ask the authorities to do something about the water. A potabilizadora means the best obvious solution and let the IDAAN and Ministry of Health take care of this situation from the Alcaldia.

Don't you think that it could be advisable for the IDAAN to take care and has an important role on water issues in Boquete. They got the technicians, the knowledge and could work to place the project on a budget to do that important project in the district.
Looks like the actual system have been surpassed and is not longer capable of improving so I think it is time to pass the torch to another agency, people to take care and give a more convenient and reliable solution.
Boquete has grown. It is a very important touristic site and there are a huge population of expats living there. It is one of our most publicized face for expats in other countries. A problem with the potable water and water systems doesn't do a good image to Boquete.
all true except IDAAN is also a failure and when they discussed a merger of all local systems the people here were up in arms. I can use the word WE, when I say we the community, rather deal with our own problems then wait for someone in Panama City to decide we are worthy of resources. There is too much disconnect between the rural water districts and the Capital.
We have experience with PASAP and World Bank money, $114,000 being throw down the toilet here because of the people in Panama City doing their job designing and managing a aqueduct project remotely.
http://www.nikken.com still another Multilevel marketing program. With PI magic!
"The slightly alkaline water produced by the PiMag Waterfall may help offset the acidic nature of a typical modern diet and other environmental conditions. It decreases oxidation reduction potential — a high ORP contributes to oxidative decomposition. An ionizing effect further reduces potential oxidation by providing ions to neutralize free radicals."
This is the same nonsense used to sell other water filtration systems. It is biochemical pseudo Science and bogus.
You can buy equal multi stage filters for about $80 on Amazon. They all work for drinking water, no need to have magic pi, apple pie is much better.
