I'm surprised that I don't see any mention of the water problems we in Alto Boquete have had since the start of the David highway road widening. My water has been shut off for over 24 hours now, unless they snuck some in between 1 and 7 am this morning when I dared sleep instead of hanging over the water tap. I'm surprised the Department of Health will allow this. I gave up on hot water since the gas heating system won't work on low pressure or when dirt in the pipes from on site repair clogs up the filters. Anyone out there have any information on how long this situation is going to last? All I've heard is "three years" !

My Name is Ricky Robinson; I’m a retired Panamanian-American Civil Engineer that lives in Alto Boquete since Nov. 2012. I did not subscribe to Boquete.ning until last month, because I handled myself in the Panamanian community, even though we lived and worked in New Jersey for the past thirty-one years.
I served as an adviser to previous the Major (Manolo Ruiz,) on the board of design and structure compliance for the new Market that is been build in the Center of town.
I actually volunteer and serve on the commission of "Water Board" for Major Millo Vazquez.
We cannot solve all the problems at this time, but can help with explanations and future fixes if you could tell me the general area that you are talking about
If you live close to Brisas Boqueteñas as I Do, our problem has been “LOW PRESSURE” since last Monday, but the problem was fixed today, and you should have pretty good pressure tonight from 8:00PM until 07:30 PM tomorrow
We are in Santa Lucia and I thought we were accustomed to the water issues here especially since we have two 500 gallon tanks. But we wan bone dry on Saturday night and have had no water since last Tuesday. Any word on when we will have a water supply again?
I looked at a pretty house in La Acequia on my first trip to Panama but the Fla real estate crash sent my unsold house underwater so after 45 years I'm a renter again. If you remember Newfie Nikki who did attend two of your classes you can imagine how many gallons of tank water it would take to wash him! Happily Roberto is now a neighbor and will have the pleasure this week of bathing and grooming my walking bear rug.
Juan, interesting about Boquete water; mountain water anywhere has always been a treat for me with no need for a treatment. I imagine it will once again be great after this construction is over, but in the meantime it's store bottles and boil tapwater for ice, coffee and cooking.

This is a very old post, Ricky. You may want to start a new discussion or post on this one.

There are water problems everywhere, here...
GET A BIG TANK and you'll be able to get through. For you garden, dig a pond...collect the rainwater...etc...
PS: Sorry Lee, i did not see you post before posting mine...i have a 4800 liter tanks, and sometimes that is not enough... lol
Also, check the pipes/tubes by yourself sometimes...the municipio won't do it...there have been some damages due to pressure problems lately...
