I didn't want to go off topic on the Sky TV discussion, so thought I'd start a new one.
For all us newbies moving to Boquete, can anyone please tell us: Which TV service has the most channels in English, what is the cost and is it cable or satellite?
Thanks.

The answer is simple but totally depends upon where you are living.
Everyplace
1. Claro Satellite all Spanish
2. Sky Satellite a lot of channels, some useful most allow you to select the language you wish to heard, not all and not for all programming.
3. Some people of Puerto Rican Dish Boxes, not legal but common and perhaps the best deal in town if sports and US programming is important to you.
In town and where available
CableOnda lots of stuff also, less expensive, less English but some
If you have good internet then all the Internet related ideas work too.
I have Sky, if Netflix offers enough English programming I will likely drop Sky.
Sky or Claro are the available satellite providers. Both leave a lot to be desired according to other's reports. A good stable internet connection of 1 megabits per second or more is your best best for viewing TV. I have a wireless connection at the the farm of 1 mg and receive unlimited TV utilizing Netflix, http://retrovision.tv/, HULU, USTVNow, etc. etc.
I also utilize a SlingBox that accesses my Direct TV account in Virginia. A faster internet connection (on both ends) would improve it's picture quality which is OK for a computer screen but not so good for a larger screen.
And don't forget about the 1000s of radio stations available on the internet.
Of course with our busy schedule at the farm, who has time to watch a bunch of TV?
