A male with indigenous looks was found murdered this morning, around La Gallera in Bajo Boquete.
It was said by various residents of the area, that due to the high numbers of bars, where indigenous males go drinking, there are lots of fights. The body showed puncture wounds and was left on a grass patch by the Caldera River
Murder crimes have increased in Chiriquí and thus far, 25 in the year 2016

How so? Rents in Bajo are more than double of that in Alto and there's virtually no real estate for sale in Bajo. I know of a building lot in Bajo that just sold for $750,000. What do lots cost in Alto?
How many bars and restaurants are there in Alto?
I've never seen any unfinished houses in Valle Escondido or Panamonte Estates like I do throughout Alto.
At least people in Bajo don't have to worry about unscrupulous gringo farmers harboring murderers on their farms for five years. That's scary.
Indigenous fights are normal, there are more than a few bars in town that cater to them, going up Calle Principal into Los Naranjos there is also one that gets crowded.
This is coffee season, and you will get more indigenous in town, they fist fight, but this poor guy was stabbed and just left next to the river.
Quite normal indigenous men getting drunk and fight in local bars.
There aren't a high number of bars where indigenous drink, but there are a couple in "Indian Alley" down the street from Romero. Saturday night fights have been going on for years and is a tradition. Seems like the police have always let them, and don't typically get involved. Sad to hear of the death.
