I had a beachside discussion via Skype with your neighbor, developer and early Boquete marketer, Paul McBride of Boquete Highlands. I found his thoughts on balancing the lure of living in the cloud forest with the expectations of North Americans very interesting.
If you see Paul in town, tell him Jet said hi, and I would love to see some of his wife's pictures from their last photo safari around Panama.

I talked with a few people from his new development last year. I didn't get the impression that he was winning any popularity contests with the residents. But I guess all of us are unpopular with somebody at some times.
We're still exploring the area with a plan to relocate someday. Does anyone have an update on how that development is doing?
Nuevo Suiza is not in the Boquete area, it is between Bambito and Cerro Punta.......
I don't know who that is but let's get him to speak for a new history buff night (?)
Yes, we are REALLY pissed off about these misnomers!!
If you want to cover the expats that shaped boquete, you should start with families like the Serracin or Boutet, for example-- their ancestors were here from europe before panama was panama. or go to the history museums in david. or ask about the medica family-- they are the ones that donated the central park to Boquete (it used to be their front yard). How many people even know that park is named Parque Medica for the contribution?
the interview is not under attack with this comment, just your titling and the implied xenophobia.
