If you receive an email asking you to reply to a link to verify your IRS information in order to have your records secured DO NOT REPLY. IT IS A SCAM.The email is short, asks you to enter your name, SS or ITIN, date of birth and 2014 adjusted gross income.Providing this i formation will enable the sender to file electronic tax returns on your behalf. The sender says IRS.GOV but if you click on it, it uncovers a UK email address. The IRS does NOT send mass emails for ID verification. Please delete at once and avoid identity theft.
