Can anyone offer accurate information of the work schedule for the roads on Boquete? There are rumors that it will take them 2 years to get all the new water lines in and the roads re-paved. What a mess the town is right now.

There goes the neighborhood again. Let's have a look at the title of the post again shall we Ladies.
Like many others on this site and most who participate on other forums i prefer to stay anonymous, neither would i name individuals, groups, ethnic or otherwise as sources. I rarely make outright claims in my posts as in this case, but i will prompt inquisitive minds to think. Some time back we understood there to be a review as many believed the diameter of the tubes being laid are too small; but work continues. Many long time residents who have established septic systems and have voiced objections in having to pay for being connected to the sewer system but the work continues. How much progress has been made on the sewerage treatment plant? That has to be quite an extensive task. Most everyone will agree that water is a more pressing issue, having a more reliable water supply and drainage of rainwater.
As the mayor himself didn’t inform me personally of his reasoning it must be “baseless conjecture”. And as i prefer to remain a “nameless entity” valuing my privacy finding it unreasonable that every comment must have a name that can be tied to a face to hold any validity i will no longer be posting on ning.
More taxes = better infrastructure.
If you decide to live in a country with a lower cost of living and little to no income- or municipal taxes you should also expect/accept some inconveniences to go along with that.

Back to the topic: I have always found it fascinating to see the change for the better ("progress") in the developing countries I've lived in and observe my fellow expats deal with some of the inconveniences that go along with it.
The biggest complainers are usually the ones that contribute little or nothing to improve the communal standard of living...

Back on topic- I just take all the road work in 2016 Boquete as a fact of life. No need to get one's undies in a bunch. Get used to it or be pissed off. Your choice.

As far as KKK, Trump has appointed Steve Bannon, a white supremacist, as one of his top two advisors. His office is literally next door to the president. Can we assume you don't have a problem with that?
Apologized for his 'youthful indiscretions'? Yeah right!! Byrd joined KKK when he was 24. That's WAY old enough to know better. I did some f-ed up stuff when I was 24 too, but NEVER anything close to joining KKK. I never had to become an 'enlightened liberal' to understand the madness of that.
Any video of Bannon to back up your claims about him? Yeah, didn't think so.
