Cable Onda or Cable & Wireless

We are very new to this area and have heard good and bad about Cable Onda. We have heard that IN David it is horrible but what about Boquete and surrounding area. We would love to know your thoughts on who has the better service and the more stable service and the better customer service.

We presently are using wifi with C&W but it seems to go in and out several times during the day and we are only able to get 4 megs as they tell us this area, Alto Boquete, is "new" area for them.

OK, let us hear from all...both the good and the bad.

Welcome to Boquete. Please be aware that Cable Onda does not service all of Boquete. If you can not get their service, other services are spotty and quality can depend on your location. Ask your neighbors. Also please use the search box in the upper right corner. This topic has received a lot of discussion.

I can only speak to Cable Onda, as I haven't had Cable & Wireless.

I was impressed with Cable Onda's customer service. The modum fried and they had someone out the very next day to replace it free of charge. Internet is consistent… unless it's not, because hey, it's Panama.

do you know if they have English speakers in the office in David? and if so do you have a customer service #?

I have internet through Cable Onda. I am very pleased with their service, and the speed is what I pay for. I have 9 mega, but you can get up to 15. It only went out once in 4 months, and the tech was here the next day.

    They offer packages with internet, cable TV, and phone. Or you can get any combination or just internet. Prices vary depending on the package. I have internet and phone and pay about $50/month. You don't need to go to the office in David. You can do everything by phone. The best service (in English) is at the 390-7555 number.
