Good afternoon, all: we just received a call from a telemarketer with Cable&Wirelsss offering 4mg of bandwidth for internet only (which is what we want) for $24.99. Our concern is the reliability/speed of their service. We're interested to see what Boquete has to say about it? Thank you in advance.

Best overall options, imo are:
1/ Cableonda, hardwired, where available
2/ Cable & Wireless, hardwired, where available
3/ Planet Telecom, where satellite service is required
Cable Onda bought Mobilnet a couple of years ago, same name but two different services.
More expensive than Planet Internet.
Sounds good! I pay $31.50 (including tax) in Bajo for same speed. I will switch to lower price if possible. Uptime and speed are generally good. Customer service has slipped since Giovanna left.
5mg is max speed with them unless you live in PC.
We live on Jaramillo and are looking for internet alternatives. Any feedback on companies serving this area? Does CableOnda do satellite or only cable (as name suggests). We are too far from the road to run cable... Seeking options to very expensive Planet Telecom -- we are currently paying $60 a month for 512K of internet (no TV). Internet access is slow, at best. The only thing they have offered is 3 mb for $99 a month which seems outrageous. Thanks.
Thanks. We will check with them and are also going to visit Cable Onda tomorrow. Where on Jaramillo are you? We are in Alto Jaramillo near the Cabana Mirador/Parador with direct sight line to towers on Volcan.

Cable Onda offers also Dish internet and TV. For info go to their office near Gran Hotel Nacional, park your car there and just walk.
Does anyone know how Cable Onda or any of the providers separate costs between cable & internet each month on the billings? We cannot seem to get a straight answer from them. we would like to only have internet.
