"I don't want opinions, just directions in David...ne how ma!" Well, you got opinions anyway guys, because to the best of my knowledge, and that of everyone else that posted here, there is no Chinese restaurant close to the Bus station. You do have some good choices with directions though, and as someone mentioned, you can always catch a taxi from the parking lot at El Rey and just tell the driver the name of the restaurant.
There is a hole-in-the-wall called Dong Fang in the Beverly Hills shopping center next to the copy place. Beverly Hills is a few blocks away from the InterAmericana (going into town) on the road that will have the overpass. Behind Beverly Hills (on Super Baru road) is the shopping center (new) that has the Colombia store in it. Dong Fang is on the cross street around the corner from the Colombia store. Good quality food, but predictably not real jazzy in the spice department. I bring my own chilis and a soy sauce I mix with grated ginger and cilantro. They have duck (not cheap), which is a nice change of pace. Unless you eat massive portions, the half order of any noodle or rice dish will be ample. Very cheap eats. Lots of Chinese folks in there. They seem to know what to order and lots of that isn't on the menu. Point and ask for 'what they're having'. They have a dim sum menu but I've never been able to figure out when they actually serve dim sum. Never when I'm there at lunch.
You're right, Bill. Went to the Nuevo Fortuna today. Dim Sum from eight until eleven in the a.m. Funny, when I lived in Singapore, Dim Sum was a lunch thing. Breakfast, Chinese style was congee--a very fishy rice porridge. Not the first thing I could face in the morning.
I have to agree that the New Place across from Micky Dee's is the best. It is the only place in David that has DIM SUM.........Yum! The steakhouse has gotten so expensive it has to be an EVENT for us....this place no.

You can buy frozen Dim Sum and make it at home. Casa Lisa or the little market next to Selectra on the four lane from KFC to Dolegita. It is what the David restaurants serve and a lot cheaper by the bag.
Lee, I like the Steak House too and used to lunch there all the time, but the pricing got out of hand for my budget. I would get a small bowl of wonton soup (not small at all), a cup of fried rice, a Coke, and a tip for under $4, but that order would be about $8 or $9 now.
We like the Palacio Oriental on the street that runs from Rodelag down towards Multibank. Great lunch under $4. Fast, friendly service in a clean, AC-cooled dining room. Parking.
New China: On Obaldia, the main street that leads from the Interamerican to the center of David, past Super Baru. Go toward town. Not far after Super Baru (a few blocks) there is a good Chinese restaurant called New China. It has red lanterns hanging out front.
The Chinese seafood steakhouse sign says (Mariscos). There is a street beside Super Baru that goes from the new Super 99 to Obaldia (a short road). Get on this street and go across Obaldia. Go another block. You will see the big yellow building that is Mariscos.

In China, dim sum is only served at breakfast time. That's probably when it is served there.

After indulging in Chinese food in most Chinese restaurants in David I have my opinion too. I think the Chinese Steakhouse is still the best in David.
