Rod ... why doesn't Ning change the default settings for new users to "no posting allowed until vetted?" It would eliminate the newbie who posts 27 items on soccer teams, politics, or what have you. I know the software has this capability. Can you advise me here, please.
He blocked me from looking at the site and I'd been a member for a couple of years. That's banning. If you look at my posts, I was always respectful, never used bad language. But he disagreed with what I wrote, so I was banned.
I was banned from Chiriqui Life. I am so pleased that Boquete Ning is doing so well because now I have a good Boquete forum to go to.

Congratulations Phyllis! I banned myself from Chiriqui Life. I got fed up with being scolded like a 3 year old if I put my post in the wrong place or failed to comply with one of the admin's 25 rules (who can remember all those rules?). I got put on probation for posting something that offended the admin politically, even though the post was a news item from Reuter's, regarding an issue in Panama, not something I made up.
jimynena, yes he does ban people. I know someone who was actually banned. He also blocked her IP so she couldn't even look at the site.
So Penny, how are the banned supposed to find out about events now that they are required to go to CL to see those News Boquete items?

The best thing did was to create the RANT for Special people who would otherwise disrupt this site
Agreed

I second that. Ning, after a bumpy changeover period after Lee died, has become an excellent site again.
And I even got "un-banned"
I am so happy you are back on Ning Penny!
