Call We Care Pharmacy, David, 775-7042, for an appt if you need assistance Pass the word.
If you are being charged for assistance with VA claims, registering for the Foreign Medical Program (FMP), assistance with TRICARE claims, TRICARE registration, E-Benefits registration, or DFAS registration, then you are giving your money away.
DO NOT PAY for VA claims assistance. You can do this for free with your E-Benefits online account, or I can assist you for FREE.
1. VA awarded disabilities, listed on the FMP letter, are covered 100% in overseas locations where hospitals accept the VA FMP.
2. TRICARE covers 75% for covered medical services overseas. There are annual and family deductibles that must be met each FY. 25% is patient responsibility.
Once a patient, or family, meet the FY catastrophic cap, then TRICARE covers at 100%, with some exceptions.
Hospitals in Panama reserve the right to accept or decline TRICARE. Most TRICARE services at hospitals are offered as pay cash for services and patient submits claim to TRICARE.

I used the Ebenifits. And they set up my Dr.'s appointment through the Embassy. The embassy called me and told me what Dr.'s to use in David and what time the appointments were scheduled. I did NO paper work.I did NOT send in any paper work after examinations. The hearing specialist and Dr's. sent the paper work(DBQ's) Directly to the Embassy and they faxed/forwarded them directly to the VA service rep that was handling my claim. The Embassy personally talks to the Rep everytime instead of paper work being stuck in a pile and waiting. After the Dr.'s and hearing specialist I waited for approval. Ebenifits will handle everything. And, I've been told VES sends you to Panama City for Dr's instead of David. I actually had less than 2 hours leg time in the process. I visited 2 offices in David. It was then a done deal. There are NO certified VA S/O's such as DAV etc etc in Panama that I know of. Volunteers are great but a Service Rep gives you Direct Recourse. The Embassy is a S/O and you have direct recourse. I have dealt with the Embassy many times with VA business and they are fast, know people in VA offices and the Ambassador himself emailed me on one issue. Like I said it's a Choice. Making appointments for FMP and getting Meds through WeCare should work well. Jr sent me an email yesterday on how WeCare works. I've been in FMP since 2014.
I meant by third party; a Certified VA S/O. My friend just used VES and had to fly to Panama City for a hearing test. I got mine done in David. I would never limit myself on information about avenues for VA assistance.
Jr told me how to downloand my FMP form. I sent it in myself not JR. He entered me into HealthCareAlliance nothing more nothing less. Forunately I don't need any meds at this time. If I did, I would go see the Dr. at WeCare for a presciption.
It's just a choice. I did my disability directly with Ebenifits and it went quicker. I got mine submitted and approved in 4 months. Ebenifits works well without third party. The other stuff is good through WeCare.
I haven't personally dealt with JR, but I have met many people here who are happy and grateful for the volunteer service he provides. There may be a point in time when I need some help running the gauntlet and it's comforting to know he is there.
For Tricare eligibles who have a mail forwarding service, one other option for meds is the Tricare pharmacy that is managed by Express Scripts. We have received our medications by mail for a very long time without any hiccups.
CORRECTION from JR:
Also, JR will help in filing a VA Claims and there is a Certified Doctor at WeCare Pharmacy that can elevate your Disabilities and a trip to the VA Administration to your HOME OF RECORD may not be required...That would have saved me the expenses of a round trip to VA in Atlanta, GA. JR is still serving the Veterans THAT ASK!
Please deal with the VA directly Veterans. Do not involve a foriegn agent acting as a REP.
This is the location of the website. No mention of VA assistance.
