I recently moved from Panama to Nicaragua with my two cats.

I hired Jose, of Golden Frog, to help me with the transport of my two cats. I didn't want one of them to be in cargo, so Jose's wife, Lucyla, flew with me to carry one of my cats. It was an amazing experience. Jose and Lucyla are genuinely good people that love animals and people.

From the time that the met me in David until the I was put into a taxi in Managua, it was total care. I could go into detail, but believe me it was worth every cent. There were several snags that they attended to. I still laugh at how protective she was over me and my cats.

They can also meet you at the airport when you arrive with pets, to help with immigration, and help when you have to leave. Many people in Boquete and around Panama have used their services.

Golden frog did a great job for us. The one caveat that I have is that when we came in with our animals, it was before Copa was an option and Air Panama did not allow pets in cabin. So we hired Jose to drive us to Boquete. Jose told us he was a very safe driver. We found out that this means he drives about 20 km under the speed limit. It took us 9 1/2 hours to get to Boquete which was very stressful for the animals. And frankly, we really didn't feel safe with pissed off drivers passing us at high speed. If I had to do it again, I would use Jose for the airport arrival logistics and have Luis Arce to drive us to Boquete.
