We desperately need a pickup truck to bring back some barrels in David before Friday. There are six waiting there for Boquete Recycling. If you can help, to bring even a few back in your truck, please send a whatsapp or call me 6808-2061.

Sounds like a great program, there is always the need to recycle! We can look more into what its all about, when we return there in coming weeks!

Howard, I've read a couple of posts here and there on different sites that some people wondering whether you are associated with the recycle center or are just raising awareness. I think that with the second group that has been meeting about recycling, there is some confusion.

  I am an active member of the new Boquete Recycling Group. We have had around 3 meetings open to the public. They have been at the Biblioteca, and at the community meeting room at the central mercado. We have big plans for how to vastly improve the collection of recycled materials but it will take time and money. We have been posting our progress at Chiriqui Chatter, Facebook on Boquete News Page and Boquete Recycling Page. We also send out email blast to everyone signed up for boquete news.

    Good Morning, I was in attendance at your recent recycle party this past Sunday, in front of the slaughter house (alto Boquete). I am an avid recycler and want to attend your next community meeting at the Library. tbalkenhol1961@hotmail.com We so badly need this program in Boquete. I would like to attend your next scheduled meeting and do a bit of clean-up around our neighborhood (again, it never stays done ;-). Again, I will have a few car loads. Thank YOU!

This is our new location where you can take all your recycling EXCEPT (for now) plastic, no plastic bottles, bags, etc. And ONLY clear glass is accepted (for now). There is a new organization in town, that you can join to Further the cause and ease of recycling. There are BIG plans to improve this in Panama, and here in Boquete speciifically. Please go to this new locale, by the library in town. It is right next door the Bible Fellowship. Open daily. 8-5pm Mon thur Saturday. Luna hasta la Sabado. Remember! it is important to go SOON so they do not think there is little interest here in Boquete and close this valuable resource.
