Buen Pastor School Band of Boquete was on National TV, channel 2, today.

They are in competition with another school. To see them perform clink on the

The bus, when it reached Boquete, did a lap around the town with about 20 cars following. Beeping horns and making noise. Hope it didn't wake anyone up. Tomorrow morning they will be in the Boquete School Parade.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY
Very good news today. Buen Pastor Band won out in the semi-finals and finals today to take first place. The school won $1000., the band students have the knowledge that they are the best in Panama. My daughter told me that she is now famous. ha ha Long trip, to Panama City yesterday and back here today. These kids deserve a lot of credit.

Well, just found out thatthe Buen Pastor band beat out the other school's band. Sooo the Buen Pastor School band will be traveling again to Panama City (9 hours on bus one way) to compete against another Schools band. Leaving tomorrow morning and returning on Thursday. The thing of it is all the Nacional Bands in the country will be coming here to Boquete for the biggest Independence Day Parade on Sunday (an all day and evening event). All this competition is in the middle of Finals!!!

This school band competes against other school bands. This is a local Boquete school band seeking your support. To continue on against other school bands in Panama it needs to win the vote count. The voting will continue through Sunday. You may vote multiple times but only once per hour. .The parents of the band members pay $40. each to offset the travel expense. The bus carrying the students arrived back in Boquete last night at 2:00 a.m. This not a solitation for funds, only a solitation for votes. Won't you please help the local school band to continue on.
