We have made it a policy to stay out of community gossip /controversy. BUT, since we are being attacked again on the site who enjoys attacking us. I thought it best to defend the truth. We previously honored promoting an online news service for Boquete until we found out this same service was using Ning to promote the very site trying to hurt us at our expense in an effort to grow their membership. ( to remain unnamed ).
We did exactly what anyone in our same position would do. We ended their ability to use our site. Below is an email from Penny Barrett to me clearly mentioning her partner ( who also owns the site in question that continually disparages Ning as Penny just recently ranted ) She denied then as She does now they are partners on her site. However, She forgot She emailed me that he is indeed her partner and needed his approval to promote their service on Ning.
This is not a subject for further discussion and debate on Ning. We resolved this back in October 2015. We will go on enjoying our excellent membership growth and expansion to other areas within our community of services in due time, But felt the truth should be known and the record set straight by her own words. ( contact information deleted to prevent promotion).
