I'm headed to Panama (from the US) next week and would like to bring my drone with me to get a few good shots of beautiful Boquete and the beaches from they sky. Has anyone gone through customs with a drone? I've checked on the interent, and have found some conflicting information. I've read some horror stories about folks traveling to Nicaragua and having customs TAKE their drone from them upon arrival (I would expect much better from Panama LOL.) Any insight or experiences that could be shared would be great - thanks!

New rules allow you to bring in $500 worth of new items every 6 months (down from $2,000). If it is a used unit and is for personal use and not resale, there should be no issues but be prepared for questions and a debate. ;-)
Drones are being used and sold in Panama.
