Dear Lee,

Thanks for your thoughtful invitation to be your keynote speaker at the Tuesday talk, but I must send my regrets. Your suggested topic, "Constructive Useless Blog Commentary" is intriguing, although I was leaning toward "Advanced Meta-Scientific Rocket Surgery in Third-World Ex-Pat Havens". Unfortunately, on the allotted date I'll be addressing the South County Survivalists' Enclave (SOCOSUEN) on "Tasty Earthworm Recipes" at the Bondad Grange Hall.

Besides, the G650 is having the leather re-upholstered.

How about what committees are involved with what projects in town (in cooperation with the Mayors office) and how we can get involved.  There could possibly be lot of people who would like to volunteer time in helping with these and the projects.  We just don't know where to go...how to go about this.

Water. A meeting on the water infrastructure project once the bid winner is announced to hear their plans and schedule.

A few obvious choices: where's Athena(s)? The Changs and their vision of where Boquete is headed. Four projects developing in Boquete-Policlinica, downtown market, water treatment and small University (technological?) across from the skating rink. Perhaps someone from David about their rapid growth and how it will affect Boquete. Immigration-if Athena is a no show.
