I live in Santa Lucia and for many months have only gotten trickles of water from the city and never on any kind of consistent basis. I understand that lately there have been multiple breaks in a line supplying other parts of our area. I'm told that i receive water through a source in Alto Lino and wonder how Santa Lucia can be affected by these breaks. I can get water [until the breaks started] by running a hose across the street to a faucet and using it to fill my tank. the hose trick works out okay except that water from the hose going into the tank has to bypass my small filter system and so the water is undrinkable and probably not the best for bathing or brushing teeth either. Given all these difficulties of getting water i am wondering why the mayor does not come forward with a list of locations and the times those locations will receive water. Seems the decent thing to do since water is such an important part of daily living. Is there anyone that speaks fluent enough spanish that would be willing to go with me to the mayor's office and find out about my situation in particular?

The Mayor has been giving updates in the Alcaldia de Boquete 2014-2019 Facebook page, however, none indicative to Santa Lucia. I know Santa Lucia has had ongoing water problems and the neighbors had come together to try and resolve the situation. One of the neighbors especially, was very involved in the process, I believe her name was Carmella and lived towards the end of Sta Lucia by the water reserve tank (maybe Ave A), the last house. She may be able to help you with valuable information and resources, as like I said, the has been very active in trying to find a solution to the water shortages.
Going to the Alcaldia may also help. The mayor is really trying to resolve the issues and supply all residents of the district with the necessary and vital fluid.
Tis better if i remain silent about the lady you refer to. She has water all the time. If you search this site you will find that this is not the first time i have broached this subject and mostly before i was told that that's the way it is. Do what you have to to have water and quit complaining. I rent the house i live in and now my landlord has died and when i cannot even get water from across the street and there are 3 houses trying to get water from one faucet it becomes quite frustrating.
You're renting. Why don't you move?
Thanks for the great, intelligent and ever so caring advice. I asked for help. Do i seem so silly as to not have tried to move? Please introduce me to the realtor that can help. I have tried 4 so called realtors and like my water problem no one seems to be able to help. I did ask for help didn't i?
James, often realtors are not much interested in rentals. They want to sell. They are not the best way to find a house to rent. There are a lot of classifieds, including encuentra24. Olga just put out information about a lot of different rentals. Call the people who volunteer to translate (purple ad on the right of the home page of ning). I do care. Nobody should have to live as long as you have without water. As you said yourself, when you try to get help from the people who seem to have water and know how to get it, they turn a deaf ear to you and tell you to accept it. They have made it clear they don't care about your problem.
How did this discussion turn into such a real estate discussion? Did i ask for help finding a home or did i ask for help going to the mayor's office. Please just let the friggin real estate stuff alone. If you can help with what i asked help for please respond, otherwise i'm not interested And as far as the people who help on the right column of this page i have met and had bad interactions with the so called Padre, Frank [or as most of you know him], Steven Maneiro. No thanks to his help
Are you looking for house or apartment and if so I know someone in Alto Boquete who may have a one bedroom apartment for rent. If you are interested in more details call me 62867566.
Pam any house would have to be at least 2 bedrooms. We are not looking for an apartment. I have 2 small dogs that further complicates the issue. I am looking for someone [that speaks english and spanish fluently] to go with me to the mayor's office to see if i can get him to help with my water problem. If this person needs to be paid i am willing to do that
Maybe the people who advertise in the purple box on the right hand side of this page could help you for a donation.
