The way I understand it a Swede at Wikileaks can leak thousands of classified documents to the world and the US government cannot arrest him because He is a foreign national in a foreign country but if a Panamanian/US citizen in Panama keeps a couple of extra bucks in a Panamanian bank and dosen't declare it the US government has to right to arrest and proscute that person. Now, dosen't it seem like things have gotten a little out of wack.???????

Re Gordon James post: What was your point with this link? To be highly offensive? Well you sure did accomplish that.
Gordon James > Judy SaccoDecember 8, 2010 at 5:12am
No Judy, the point of the link is to educate you about what happened to the once great country called America and how it has been destroyed. It also indicates how effective the ruling class is at manipulating your mind to control you. Instead of reading and understanding the information presented, you immediately shut off your thinking cap because you were taught to get offended and emotional whenever the word Jew is used in a negative light. You were conditioned to react that way by the very people who want to enslave you. Weak minds sink ships and that is why America has sunk.
Marv understands all this. Good for you Marv.

I read it - all of it. I understood it all too well. If you want to read something intelligent, try Dark Ages America by Morris Berman and The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein.

Judy, I think I need to order this now. Because this review of Dark Ages of America does indeed sum up much if my opinion. He might be going to far but the big point, unstated is that Americans will not accept responsibility for much of anything.
Let's blame the Jews, or the Jesuits, or the Communists, or the Mexicans, or the sitting President for all of the nations problems.

Berman's blog is quite interesting too. He decided he didn't want to live in the U.S., and he moved to Mexico some years ago. http://morrisberman.blogspot.com/

I am tired of anti anything crap. I don't much like the IRS or taxes either. But I am sorry they are not a jewish plot to force slavery on the masses.
Gordon James > Lee ZeltzerDecember 8, 2010 at 5:29am
Oh yes there is a plot Lee. A group of elitists do want to enslave the masses and a large percentage of them happen to be Zionist Jews (research percentage ownership and control of central banks and mass media). Their disproportionate dominance in banking, media and politics is why they as a group get blamed for the economic and social destruction of the U.S.
I think Assange's days are numbered. He is going to end up in prison for one offense or another. It might not be a U.S. prison but there will be a lot of pressure to bear.
They will probably make an example of the PVC that stole the confidential documents. What he did was treasonous. When you are in the military and work with confidential materials, you sign an agreement and swear not to divulge U.S. secrets. An example will be made. His reasons for what he did (if he did it) are irrelevant. Look at the damage he did.
Unfortunate, but probably true. He made the mistake of trusting the European governments. If he had taken up residence in Hong Kong, for instance, he'd probably never be touched.

"From Publishers Weekly
In this provocative, scattershot jeremiad, cultural historian Berman (The Twilight of American Culture) likens America to ancient Rome on the brink. On the geopolitical plane, he contends, the United States is a belligerent, overstretched empire, saddled with huge deficits and a hollowed-out economy, vulnerable to terrorist blowback and, worse, collapse if foreign creditors finally pull the plug. The rot is cultural and spiritual, too: Americans are cold, alienated shopaholics immured in suburban anomie, each encased in a private bubble of iTunes and media noise and indifferent to the public good. Culprits include globalization, technology and, more fundamentally, the individualism and commercialism that is the bedrock of American identity. Because American civilization is a "package deal," the author considers it impervious to piecemeal reform and, given Americans' ingrained "stupidity" and willful blindness, unsalvageable. Berman's attempts to tie every American dysfunction to an all-encompassing sickness of soul overreaches, leading him to lump together serious issues like poverty and the Abu Ghraib outrages with trivialities like annoying cell phone yakkers or the "freedom fries" phenomenon, which he bemoans as "symbolic of an emptiness at the core." Often stimulating and insightful in its particulars, his indictment, like the jingoism it abhors, is too sweeping and essentialist to fully capture American reality. (Apr.)
