I am coming to live in Boquete in November and will be there months...my question is will I be able to use my medical paperwork from here "Colorado" and see a doctor and be able to get my meds without much trouble...or start the process all over again....I have also heaed you can get the meds I require there in the pharmancy without seeing the doctor...is this trus...I am on the muscle relaxer soma and vicodon. THANKS FOR ANY RESPONSE ON THIS MATTER??

Soma or carisoprodol was discontinued in Panama in 2015, and Vicodin or hydrocodone is an opioid so you’re probably out of luck.
When you are in Boquete go to Farmacia Revilla. Tell them the medical name, not the brand name. They will tell you whether you need a prescription or not. You can go to Dr, Gomes 30 seconds walk. $ 15.- for the visit.
I don't know what you mean by your "medical paperwork." If you mean Medicare, the answer is no. Sorry, but I don't know whether Soma and Vicodan are available here. Perhaps someone else can address that question.
I don't think Vicodan is available here. Get the chemical name and ask for it. If they have it, it might not be the brand name. Most drugs here, except antibiotics and narcotics, can be bought without a prescription.
There are walk-in clinics in Boquete where you can see a doctor.
