I was hoping someone knew of a good pet store in David that sells a wide variety of canned cat food and treats. The selection is limited in Boquete. Thank you.

This is the same problem I faced when I moved here several months ago. Short answer: NO. There's a large selection of dry food. The good canned food is mostly Science Diet for various ailments but no generic. I found some treats at Super99 and shortly after one of my cats got pancreatitis from too much fat (coincidence? Do not know) Friskies seems to be the canned food of choice at every outlet.
I finally found Fancy Feast in PC at Riba Smith. SimplyPanama.com will buy it for you and ship it to your town. They only charged $20 for shopping and $8 (I think) for shipping several cases. I'm bringing many cases of canned cat food back with me on the relocation cruise because of this problem. Riba Smith also charges about double from the US at .95 per can.
haven't checked in a long time but Price Smart in David was selling the fancy feast and a box of Friskies canned that had 4 different varieties. Price Smart also had the wonderful litter that not only smells good, it is clumping/scoopable. We will have 2 large litter pans, one covered, one not and the self-feeding container available on Friday afternoon around 4 or 5 if interested... 656-030-71
Cindy - I think you are picking up Darlene's table either Thursday or Friday?

Price Smart has regular Friskies, a case with 3 flavors. I have not seen Fancy Feast there. They have a 42 lb. bag of clumping litter. They also have a good quality dry Kirkland cat food.
we have cats adn have found the wiskas packets at Baru in Boquete and the pet place around the corner from the Bistro and while Melo's is kind of expensive, they had a decent variety of dry food and a smattering of canned food
The lady at Baru offered to order from David for us - she may would do the same for you if you take her a list in Spanish...
Unfortunately the selection is limited everywhere. If you need special food, like KD, you might find it at Melo, but the next time you need it, it's gone. This is a real problem for cats here. There just isn't much variety in canned food. Price Smart, Melo and Mascotas (the pet store across from the recycle center in Boquete) are the only choices. Sometimes Super 99 has some other kinds, but again, the supply is not dependable.

I was in Mascotas y Jardines this morning in Boquete and they had k/d and other cat food. In cawse you don't know, it's located on the street that runs next to the Bistro Boquete, about half way down on the right before you get to Bona Foodie.

I seriously doubt that shipping it would be a problem, but it would be incredibly expensive because of the weight. There also would be import taxes.

The Happy Pet vet, Dr. Sam, carries a variety of special diets, if that's what you're looking for. Limited, but another possibility.
